Accomodation on the island is mainly located in Cidade de Porto Inglès (previously known as Vila do Maio).
There are no real stand-out hotels but there are adequate guest houses. You can also experience life with a Cape Verdean family through the ‘homestay’ scheme organised by the FMB

This is a basic pension located in the town square of Porto Inglès, a short walk from the beach.
